Talent Development

Today for talent development I used clay to sculpt a chameleon foot (it is the one above)

I think a goal for me would be to work on the texture so it will look more effective.

I am going to practice at home to help me improve. To add texture I am going to use a drawing pin and try to use the bottom of a sifter to get a scaly affect.

Talent Development

Today at Enrich for talent development I went on an ipad and looked up pictures to sketch like the one above it is a chameleons foot because they fascinate me . Next week I am planning to do a paper mache chameleon foot like the one above.

First Day Back

This is the first day back at Enrich for term 3 .

This morning we started talent development I chose art. We went for a walk to the museum to see the tuataras and sketch them. We also went to the art exhibition.

For art the main thing is dragons. Later in the term we are going to make clay sculptures of dragons and sketches .

This afternoon we were doing must dos and picks which is like must do can do except you only have two weeks to do them instead of the whole term and its checked off on a piece of paper by the teacher.

Teacher comment

Olivia you have learnt a lot about time management this past term, and how to balance your project with the must dos can dos. You have a positive attitude towards the tasks you are set, and when you are sure about what is being asked of you, work hard to achieve these goals. You are building some good friendships with a variety of new and returning students of a range of age groups.

2 stars and a wish

It is the last day of enrich for the term and I am reflecting by using two stars and a wish.

My two stars are:

*I completed my must do can do sheet

*I made a great poster that stands out for the book drive

My wish is:

That I could have managed my time wiser than I did by planning out what to do each week .

Book Drive

Last week I put some posters up about a book drive at my own school, Myross Bush School. If any students from Myrosds Bush School are reading this post, please donate a book! There is a box in the office to put your books in. These will go to a school in Christchurch called Discovery 1, they have been affected by the earthquakes and they are now holding their school in the back of St Johns hospice .These books will help them out a huge amount. thank you if you do donate some books!

Today

Today Pyper and I telephoned our principals to ask if it was ok to put posters up for our book drive for Discovery 1 - a school affected by the Christchurch earthquakes . We also made our posters for the book drive they look fantastic I think . I also went to the profiling workshop we finished of profile 5 and 6 .
